The International Trademark Association (INTA) has appointed Stephen D. Wilson to its Building Bridges Committee for the 2024-2025 term. Steve previously served on INTA’s Enforcement Committee, Trademark Enforcement Policy Advocacy Subcommittee, and Judicial Administration & Trademark Litigation Subcommittee.

INTA is a global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property (IP) to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation. Founded in 1878, the nonprofit association’s membership includes nearly 6,500 organizations from 185 countries, representing more than 34,350 trademark professionals and including brand owners from major corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, firms, and nonprofits, as well as government agency members.

INTA’s Building Bridges Committee fosters strategic partnerships with organizations including: (1) advertising and marketing associations; (2) consumer associations; (3) manufacturing and retail associations; (4) associations that develop and promote sustainability and ethical standards; (5) associations that support the development of small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs; (6) financial and standard-setting associations; and (7) licensing associations. Committee members, together with INTA staff, contribute their expertise to addressing issues such as advocacy of trademarks and brand owner rights, resources dedicated to intellectual property advancement, communication and implementation of INTA’s strategic objectives, and planning educational programs and events.

Steve serves as Practice Group Manager for the Intellectual Property group at Beggs & Lane. He has practiced law for over 20 years, and has assisted clients worldwide with trademark applications and registrations covering over 140 countries.
