On July 2, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis Announced 75 Appointments and Reappointments to Florida’s Judicial Nominating Commissions (JNC), of those announced we’re proud to say that our Partner Robert L. Jones, III was named to the 1st Circuit JNC. The JNC is a non-partisan nine-member commission of lawyers and non-lawyers who locate, recruit, investigate and evaluate applicants for judicial office and then submit candidates to the Governor for final selection.
Robert L. Jones, III is a board certified tax attorney. He serves as Practice Group Manager for the firm’s Corporate and Tax practices and is a member of the firm’s Wills, Trust and Estates practice group. Robert practices in the areas of tax law, corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, healthcare, estate planning, including high-net worth estate tax planning, probate, not-for profit and charitable organizations, and business planning, from the creation of a business to succession planning. Robert is admitted to practice to the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and all Florida state courts. Robert is an AV rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine in the field of Tax Law for the past five years (2015-2020).
