Jack W. Lurton, III
Jack W. Lurton III is a partner in Beggs & Lane’s litigation group. Jack practices in the areas of medical malpractice litigation, civil litigation, commercial litigation and workers compensation. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of matters including personal injury cases, construction disputes, contract disputes, intellectual property disputes, landlord tenant disputes, and securities litigation. He is licensed in both Florida and Alabama.
Jack has litigated both civil and commercial matters on behalf of a variety of local businesses, including Baptist Hospital and Gulf Power Company. He has also represented several physicians and medical groups in medical malpractice cases. In addition, he has represented local real estate development groups and manufacturing companies in a wide array of construction disputes. Jack has tried cases in Florida, Alabama and New Jersey. He has also arbitrated securities claims before the National Association of Securities Dealers.
Jack is a member of the Florida Bar and the Alabama Bar. He is licensed to practice before all state courts in Florida and Alabama. He is also licensed before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida as well as the Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama.
Jack received his bachelor of arts degree from Baylor University in 1999. He graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 2002. He is the Chairman of the Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee for Florida’s First Judicial Circuit.
